Clara Brörmann is a contemporary artist from Germany. She studied at Humboldt University and the Berlin University of the Arts, as well as at the Wimbledon College of Arts in London. Today she lives and works in Berlin.

In her artworks and editions, the she uses a vocabulary of merged geometric forms. Their confrontation is process-related between destruction and renewal: structures and forms are created and in the next moment completely extinguished from the canvas. Colors are applied, repainted or washed off again. For Brörmann, artistic processes are a communicative act with the canvas. Her art is multi-layered and multi-dimensional. Through the alternation of forward-facing and retreating forms, her artworks and editions gain spatial depth and rhythmic structures. The German artist begins every painting without having an exact idea what the final result will be. Instead the pictorial result bases on a variety of decisions and processes of thinking and rethinking. This artistic process remains comprehensible to the viewer and becomes part of the work.

Clara Brörmann's artworks and editions have been exhibited throughout Europe.
