Christoph Pöggeler artworks and editions
Christoph Pöggeler’s artworks and editions show ironic-idyllic subjects. He works two-dimensionally as well as three-dimensionally, but creates mainly figurative visual worlds. Besides the figurative, he creates landscapes every now and then. His presentations seem very vivid and take a flattering glance at reality, which should, however, not be entirely unquestioned. He received much public attention for his project ‘Säulenheilige’, for which he placed life-size figures on advertising pillars in downtown Dusseldorf. He produces his two-dimensional artworks on wooden boards and incorporates the natural grain of the image carrier in the presentation. Christoph Pöggeler’s artworks, editions and paintings pick up themes of daily life and suggest personal insights in the artist’s living environment.
